He holds a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, where he started volunteering with Engineers Without Borders Canada. Volunteering turned into a job after graduating, and the next five years were spent managing the organization’s technology and crafting online engagement strategy.
After Engineers Without Borders, Francis moved into the freelance world. He’s worked with a variety of non-profits and start-ups, where his combination of technical skill and real-world pragmatism are in high demand.
He’s a strong believer in the power of online technology to build community and create real-world change.
